Introductory Story

“Welcome to Vintage Fantasia — a carefully curated collection of unique, unusual, and beautiful pieces from across the ages.”

And a dream come true.

The Dream… The Magic… started for me around 2016 when I decided to sell most of my Matchbox car collection that I’d built up during my 70’s childhood.

The rest I kept for my soon to be born son.

It was quite the revelation. Not just the delight of surprise in how much collectors were keen to spend on these cars, it was more the powerful awakening inside me that I actually adored the process of researching, listing, selling and knowing that these cars (and by now other childhood treasures) were going to a new home where they would be appreciated and -dare I say- LOVED anew by someone new.

Our Philosophy

This spark within led me naturally to attending auctions and antique fairs etc. where I found that I had a really good eye for unique, interesting, amusing and truly beautiful items, which are thrilling to have around until I can find them a new loving home.

For a few years, I enjoyed this dream as a hobby/side-business alongside doing a ‘proper job’ until I was ready to go live the dream as an actual profession.

Then the pandemic hit.

I took a huge hit, being furloughed, then laid off, and seeing all my profits go on bills and the realities of life with a young child.

Back to square one.

Slowly, but surely, I rekindled the magic, leading us to 2025 when I became able to set up VF and along with it to fulfil the dream.

To hopefully share the magic I feel in finding these treasures you see in this website/shop and in discovering something perfect for yourself and/or loved ones, who will cherish whatever it do be that catches your heart and inspires your mind.

A stress-free shop offering things of beauty & interest that you may well not be able find anywhere else, or if there are items available elsewhere, you’ll be hard pressed to find cheaper, as at the time of listing each item is thoroughly researched and prices offered here are deliberately kept low, because at the end of the day, we truly do care and will forever do our best for you.
